The JHU Arts and Sciences Magazine featured Andrew Brandel, '09 in its Spring 2008 edition. The article discusses the challenges of a Double Major at Hopkins, an accomplishment only 14% of the undergraduates choose to pursue. Brandel is a double major in Philosophy and Anthropology. "Anthropology is a particular way of looking at the world and addressing infinite questions," he explains.

The Sigma Phi Epsilon Balanced Man Scholarship recognizes undergraduates who demonstrate a commitment to academic excellence, an active lifestyle, and leadership in both the classroom and the community. SigEp wishes to recognize three first year students who exemplify the characteristics of tomorrow’s leaders: well rounded balanced individuals who set themselves apart from the crowd.
